Gatua-
I got the TN-thanks. It took me a while but I listened
to it several times over the w/end.
Great performance! I didn't know you sang so well, got
me by surprise, for some reason I expected a similar
work to the last one. The music broadens the listening
base, I think. I enjoy and benefit from listening to
the language, especially the composition-messages and
even the politics!
I collect African Music and I will say that the music
is "foreign", clearly west African, Mali, Senegal.
That is both a plus and a minus.
'Kamau wa Njoroge...' is a classic that every Kikuyu
if not Kenyan should have. The lyrics, music, call to
action and sense of nolstalgia are just powerful.
This is great stuff and I hope people are being
exposed to it, I thought of all the Kikuyu families in
places like California, Boston etc. How is the
marketing?
Thanks again for this great work and keep the fire
burning.
